"You are always so perfect!" She said.

She was not so perfect herself.

Her nose was a bit more pointed than it should be.

Hair a little too curly.

Ears a bit too long.

Lips somewhat too broad.

I could go on with this forever.

But she had those eyes.

She had the most beautiful pair of blue eyes.

One could stare at them forever, admire their beauty and sink in their depth.

They sparkled and twinkled in a magical way, they were marvelous…they were perfect.

Yes, perfect!

It was my love for those eyes that I invited her home after a couple of dates.

And that’s when she said those words upon entering the house "You are always so perfect!"

I took a moment to reply, "Hardly, my dear. Perfection is so hard to achieve. People just underrate it these days and undermine its significance.

The quest to perfection is most satisfying indeed."

"Well. So far I think you are doing a great job.

Your mannerisms, your chivalry, your house; they are all just perfect."

"I do try my best darling. But I am creating something perfect for me.

It’s most fascinating. Would you like to see?"

"Of course. I’m very much interested"

"Be careful down the stairs. Its a bit dark in here.

Here it is. Right behind this door, have a look"

And that’s when she started screaming. They never understand how hard it is to achieve perfection.

They never appreciate it enough.

I gagged her in time before those scums in the neighborhood took any notice.

Even in horror and full of fear those eyes looked so beautiful. Wide and teary.

"Sssshhh honey! It’ll be over in a minute" I said as I pressed the scalpel deeper.

She stopped moving.

I went to the center table where laid my masterpiece.

I pushed those eyeballs to the socket. They fitted in perfectly.

Now to find those perfect legs. I’ll have my perfect lady soon.
