The Final Embrace
Written by: Kreation
Behind the doors, beyond the sea
Knew not gloom, knew not glee;
Spirit of the lake and seas and rivers
Frothing spasms, bone chilling shivers
Death but gently kissed
Time and space frozen again
Silence surrounds, sorrow strains
Anguish impaired, infected reason
Crimson terror persecuted vision
The bottle slyly hissed
Healing herbs turned assassin
Victim of a crime of passion
Love defeated, prosecutor Envy
Here he lies, where he longs to be
Embraced by the mist
Morbid and Insane. Need you know more?

Quite philosophical, could get some part of it. Will have to read once again to get a better idea.
Are you talking about the death of a person due to alcohol?
correct me i’m wrong
Through poison actually.
I’m glad you took out time to read and actually attempted to understand the poem. Not many people are so patient. Thank you so much!
Welcome! I’m so glad your exams are over!
My fav. lines have to be :
“Crimson terror persecuted vision
The bottle slyly hissed”
Judicious choice of words with a characteristic Kriti’s touch of blood & death . Love its.
I loved ‘Victim of a crime of passion’..I can imagine the slow death, wanting it to finish off quickly but waiting… Its commendable to come out with this piece that has to be felt so deeply to write. But then again thats what you do so well, time and again.
@Kreation: ur selection of words made me read the whole of it. It definitely needed me to pause the background music playing on my system, the second read made me understand some of it..
now i understand why the above comments by others are so good…
