We’re breaking pattern here and shying away from the fortnightly prompt, for a cause that deserves your attention.
A fellow writer and friend, Richard Levangie, had neurosurgery this weekend to remove a pituitary tumor that’s tormented him and his family for over a decade. Thankfully, the surgery was a success and he is recovering well, but the medical expenses throughout the process has left their family in a financially precarious position. I’ve not known him long, but I do believe that I’ve known him well enough to see that he has a kind heart and a generous soul. All you have to do is look at his blog here to know the kind of person he is.
You can find all the details and the link to donate here. For your donation, you will also have your name inscribed on the “wall” of the site’s sidebar, and on many-a-heart. If for some reason you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this with anyone you might know, who wouldn’t mind donating some for a good cause and a wonderful collection of stories/poetry.
